Heritage Completes a Structured Equity Investment in ProTransport-1

New Heritage Capital is pleased to announce its investment in ProTransport-1, LLC. Headquartered in Cotati, California, ProTransport-1 is a leading provider of interfacility medical transportation solutions to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, specialty clinics and event venues in Northern California. Its specialized focus on the interfacility market has allowed it to grow at an exponential pace. Founded in 2001, the Company is on track to deliver more than 125,000 transports in 2012 utilizing a state-of-the-art fleet of more than 130 ambulance rigs.
The two founder/owners of ProTransport-1 have spent the last eleven years successfully growing their business. In early 2012, they identified a need to find a financial partner who would provide them with partial liquidity while also allowing them to maintain a meaningful economic stake in the business and to continue in their roles as CEO and President.
Through its Structured Equity recapitalization structure, Heritage provided liquidity to the founders while allowing them to maintain up to a 50% economic stake in the business going forward. The Heritage transaction provides the company with capital for growth, as well as a partner deeply experienced in providing strategic guidance to growing founder-owned businesses.
The Stephens Group, LLC was an investor in the Single Purpose Fund created by Heritage for this investment.
